About The Athlete's Physical Therapist

The Athlete's Physical Therapist is not your typical doctors office. We are located in a state of the art fitness facility. Instead of therabands, we use dumbbells, kettlebells, and barbells. The doctors of TAPT are coaches with doctorates. We believe in movement quality, progressive overload, and evidence based treatment.

There are no hot packs here. We expect you to work hard.

Insurance companies will never dictate your plan of care here. Pain, injury, and performance goals are complex in nature, therefore we spend the entire hour of your session with you. Specific and functional exercise, advanced manual therapy techniques, and program modification outside of the clinic will provide the essential support you need for success. The education you will acquire while in the walls of our practice will prepare you for all the activities that make life worth living.

  • Krista Clarke PT, DPT

    Staff Physical Therapist

Krista graduated in 2010 with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Clarkson University. After working for a few years in in-network outpatient physical therapy clinics, she found herself looking for more. Krista joined the Army in 2016. Within the Army, she grew as a therapist and found her passion for helping individuals improve across all domains of wellness.

Krista assisted in the development and implementation of the Holistic Health and Fitness Program to restructure Soldier training programs, prevent injuries, and improve recovery rates. Today, Krista brings these these skills to the clinic when working with clients at The Athletes Physical Therapist. Pain and injury can't be treated in isolation, a provider must look at the whole individual.

Krista grew up in Maine, enjoying many outdoor sports and even skied on an international level through high school. Her passion for fitness, wellness, and health has been fostered through her career as a physical therapist. She brings this excitement for fitness to her clinical practice everyday.
